The Husqvarna Rider R 216T AWD is another rider from the 200 series and incorporates the option (See purchase options above) of either a 94 or 103cm cutting deck. It is also possible to fine-tune the rider’s cutting deck to ensure perfect cutting results every time. Both decks offer top-class BioClip or rear ejection cutting. The rider is suitable for both homeowners with gardens or landowners with larger areas of land, due to its high efficiency, ease of use and top-grade manoeuvrability. The R 216T AWD also comes, much like all the other Husqvarna riders, with an articulated steering system, all-wheel drive, and a front-mounted cutting deck that allows for excellent mowing accessibility. This means you can get into all those hard to find corners, under bushes and even around park benches, The fact your cutting deck is front-mounted also meant that you get intuitive operation and a greater overview of your working area. The unique articulated steering system means the rider’s rear wheels are capable of swinging under the body of the machine achieving superior manoeuvrability with a minimum turning radius at full lock As if it was not already fun enough to drive the rider – pedal-operated hydrostatic transmission, automatic blade engagement and easy-access controls make your time on the mower an absolute blast. Its low centre of gravity helps improve traction meaning it can make light work on uneven ground and rough terrain. Thanks to attachments the rider can do a vast amount of things more than simply cutting grass. Some of the attachments available are trailers, spreaders, moss rakes and snow blades. The ability to complete other tasks means your rider is fully adaptable to the changing seasons and all weather conditions.
In terms of maintenance, you can easily clean your rider blades. This is due to the cutting deck being easily tilted into an upright position for straight-forward cleaning. The rider also comes with a storage compartment, drink holder, transparent fuel tank, four large wheels and a rear engine position making sure noise levels are kept to a minimum.

- AWD is essential if your lawn can get slippery and steep in places.
- Combi cutting decks mean a choice of rear ejection or BioClip. Use BioClip on well-maintained lawns which are cut frequently and use rear ejection for areas of tall, wild and coarse grass as the rear ejection can cope with the quantity of cutting that will be produced.
- Depending on the job you want the rider for, you need to bear in mind you will most likely need an accessory if it’s not just for plain and simple grass cutting.
